The weekend was kicked off through the generosity of Mike and Kathy Hall who, once again, volunteered their house and Mike's skills as a Chef extraordinaire to host a Friday night get together. Soon thereafter, things did tend to degenerate as you'll soon see.
It began with a shortage of cups resulting in a nasty tug of war between Phil and Steve.
You can tell Jane & Greg were astounded at that type of behavior.
Clearly, the party was rapidly going to the dogs.
A number of the boats brought to the LYC Harbor had been detailed beforehand and looked awesome.
However, the combined Hunter and Catalina Rendezvous next door didn't seem quite as ship shape.
And some members were so out of control, well, let's just say they had to be removed from the party.
Saturday morning instruction included a demonstration of the head by Marine Sanitation. However, we didn't have any volunteers for a live demo.
From the heavy drinking the night before, some members wanted to keep it on the table just in case their queasy stomachs got the better of them.
Casey from Stix N Rig'n demonstrated how to set a cruising spinaker using a unique foot stomping method.
Soon, it was cocktail hour.

One event that likely is unique to the history of all IP Rendezvous was the auction of our former President. The happy fellow at the left won the right to a night of bliss with Ms. Chalfant. True story. (well, he is her husband, after all).
"This is just not enough money."
